HOW TO FIX POWER SUPPLY UNIT (PSU) COMPUTER & LAPTOP ( SERVICE )

1 Desktop Computer (PC) has several components that interact with each other. Computer devices, among others, mainboard / motherboard, processor, memory, CD / DVD, hard disk, VGA (graphics cards), and other supporting components are mounted inside a casing (CPU) and will only work if supported by an important tool, namely electrical power supply, better known by the PSU (power Supply Unit).

PSU (Power Supply Unit) is a computer component that supplies power to all components in the computer (CPU). Power supply units are typically designed to convert alternating current (AC 220-240V) to low voltage DC electrical current in accordance with the voltage of the computer's internal components (motherboard, processor, memory, hard drives, CD / DVD, etc.). Some models of computer power supply unit has a button to change the input voltage (PLN) between 230 V and 115 V. Other models have automatic sensors to switch input voltage automatically, or can accept input voltages between certain limits (can we hihat on the name plate PSU).

Power Power Supply Unit (PSU)
On the use of computer power supply can be distinguished on the basis of the maximum output power of a computer. The power supply unit on the market we met a lot of variety, generally ranging from 300 Watt to 2000 Watt. The power supply is less than 300 watts typically used in small computer and is intended for home computers is limited to the use of the ordinary for internet browsing and office. Power Supply Unit (PSU) of the power range from 450 Watt to 1400 Watt used exclusively for playing games and graphics applications. The output power PSU (power supply unit), the highest current up to 2000 Watt used specifically for the server / web server.

On the use of portable computers (laptop) power supply has a 25-200 Watt power supply. On the laptop power supply is not plugged in the laptop, but there is a laptop outside (external). Power Supply laptop power supply voltage change from AC to DC (the most common 19 Volt), and from 19 Volt DC voltage conversion process occurs in the laptop to match the voltage required by the components of the laptop.

Type & Voltage Output Power Supply Unit (PSU).
Power Supply Unit to the computer until now has three different types, namely AT (Advanced Technology), ATX (Advanced Technology eXtended) and BTX (Balanced Technology Extended). But basically remain the same in which the output voltage of 12 Volt, 5 Volt and 3.3 Volt is the voltage used.
1. Power Supply Unit Model AT (Advanced Technology)
Used in computer models of the old (1995 era and under), Power-On using the manual switch is directly connected to the power supply unit. So we must press the ON / OFF switch on the CPU if you want to turn on and off the computer (manual switch).
2. Power Supply Unit Model ATX (Advanced Technology eXtended)
On switch on the front of the computer (CPU) into the motherboard instead of the power supply unit. This allows other hardware or software to turn the system on and off (system trigger). ATX Power Supply types can make it easy to turn off the CPU without having to press the ON / OFF switch on the CPU (executed by the motherboard and software), just with a click Shut Down, and also provides support for modern functions, such as remote function, standby mode is available on many computers.

3. Power Supply Unit model of BTX (Balanced Technology Extended)
Changes to the standard ATX and BTX is actually just in the extra 4pin output. Has a 20pin ATX power output while the BTX has a 24pin power output.

Measurement of voltage Power Supply Unit
1. PSU voltage measurements using the BIOS
    2. PSU voltage measurement without the expense
• Remove all output from the power supply unit that leads to all computer components (motherboard, CDROM, hard disk, etc.)
Turn on the power supply unit by way menjumper green wire (PS_ON) and any black wire (Ground) (for ATX and BTX models). If true then penjamperan Power Supply Unit will work marked by the passage of the PSU fan.
Connect the black probe avometer (-) to any black wire (Ground)
Connect the red probe avometer to all cable colors other than black (see picture above port ATX and BTX) adjust the voltage to the picture above.
Power Supply Unit can be quite good if the voltage in stages masing2 measurements with and without load there is a maximum difference of 5%.
