DAMAGES WHICH OFTEN HAPPENS TO TELEVISION (REPAIR)

1. No picture, black screen, HV voltage there and vote there.Check the status of the contrast and brightness may be in position 0. Check whether the filament heater is lit, if lit, check the voltage on G2. when not lit, check the heater resistor and voltage source heater. If there is no G2 voltage, check whether the short-circuit pin to pin CRT G2 G1. Check whether the voltage on the cathode RGB brightness should be able to follow suit, if the brightness is increased, the voltage at the cathode RGB will drop.

2. Looks like a book line (visible retrace lines), with or without images (blank white).Try to reset the brightness and contrass. Check G2 voltage that may be too high. Check whether the RGB cathode voltage is too low, if too low, check whether the voltage amplifier RGB problematic. Check also the vertical sync (v pulse) or on some models can also be caused by the vertical that is not working. When blanking consists of one color only, check whether the cathode short-circuit one of the G1.

3. Picture too dimCheck G2 voltage, check voltage HV, check whether the RGB amplifier block is able to significantly lower the voltage when it is set on the highest brightness, also check ABL pathway. Also check the CRT socket.

4. Picture spread / mblobor when the contrast / brightness is increasedThis is because the CRT is weak, try raising the heater voltage of 1 or 2 volts, but this way hopefully durable.

5. Picture there but covered by an image similar to the wood fibers are randomlyElko check the RGB cathode supply voltage lines.

6. Graphics are old, do not focusCheck the CRT socket, check focus voltage of FBT.

7. Cathode or heater short-circuit with G1If one short-circuit the cathode / heater is leaking to the G1 or cause damage to plain green, blue or red is accompanied by the emergence of retrace lines (such as the screen is too high). Large leaks / barriers can be measured with an ohmmeter. When short-circuit of the heater, can be tricked by making the voltage supply to the heater separately with separate gnd from gnd other. When short-circuit of the G1, the replacement of CRT should be done because the damage usually occurs in short-circuit with the G1 which was quite an old CRT.

TIPS
1. Before opening the header / wire anode of the tube, CRT should always didischarge (blank) first charge by shorting the GND pin of the CRT HV CRT (CRT outer carbon layer).

2. Replacement of CRT should use the same type or equivalent.

3. When moving the CRT, do not use the CRT neck as a handle.
